Uefa Champions League Festival, ok from Superintendency
Following the meeting that was held with the mayor of Rome, Gianni Alemanno, the undersecretary of Cultural Goods, Francesco Giro, the FIGC vice-president, Demetrio Albertini and the UEFA competition director, Giorgio Marchetti, the Archeological and Architectonical Superintendecy of the Ministry for Cultural Activities and Goods of the City of Rome gave its final authorization for the project relative to the UEFA Champions league festival that will be set up in Rome for the UEFA Champions Leage final from May 23rd to the 27th, 2009.
The plan includes the display of the UEFA Champions League trophy in the San Gregorio area in front of the Constantine arch. The UEFA Champions League museum will be set up always in the San Gregorio area, along with the booths of the Manchester United and Barcelona clubs that will play the final, in addition to the booths belonging to the institutional partners. The festival and the mini football camps will be set up in the Colle Oppio area, especially in the “Polveriera” section.
